Just hours remain until the eagerly-awaited blockbuster lightweight clash at UFC 254 gets under way.

The main event in Abu Dhabi is one MMA fans can hardly wait for as Khabib Nurmagomedov defends his title against hard hitting Justin Gaethje

Having hosted UFC 253 where Israel Adesanya stopped Paulo Costa, the UAE will now welcome the two star fighters for their headline bout.

The undefeated Eagle beat Dustin Poirier at UFC 242 in September 2019 in his last fight and has had to wait to return to the Octagon.

He was supposed to headline UFC 249 in May but had to pull out due to the complications surrounding the COVID-19 lockdown.

Gaethje stepped in at the last minute and claimed a superb win over Tony Ferguson to win an interim belt and set himself up to fight the dominant champion.

The two weighed in on Friday with both making 155 pounds before staring each other down.

Now the two will face off at UFC 254 and here’s everything you need to know about it…

  • The main card starts Oct. 25, 5 a.m. AEDT.
