On Saturday, May 12, Anthony Joshua will fight Finland’s Robert Helenius at London’s O2 Arena. The event is being promoted by Matchroom Boxing and will be broadcasted on DAZN.

Originally, the fight was supposed to be between Joshua and Dillian Whyte. However, due to an adverse drug test result, Helenius was suddenly added as a replacement.

On Friday, Joshua and Helenius both made weight. The former weighed in at 250 pounds, while the latter at 249.4 pounds.

The bout is scheduled to last 12 rounds. It will be part of an eight-bout card at the O2 Arena. For Joshua, who is 33 years old, a strong performance is needed to secure another title shot.

In April, Joshua won a unanimous decision over Jamaican boxer Jermaine Franklin. He was assisted by Derrick James in his fight.

In an interview, Joshua criticized the late replacement for the third time.

He noted that he had similar experiences with other late replacements such as Carlos Takam, Kubrat Pulev, Jarrell Miller, and Ruiz.

Throughout his career, Joshua has experienced various obstacles. He noted that these obstacles will help him get to the top of his game.

For Helenius, 39, it will be his second bout in eight days. He won a knockout in his previous fight on August 5.

Even though the bout against Helenius was a last-minute solution, the two boxers are expected to perform well in their upcoming bout at the O2 Arena.

Anthony Joshua vs. Robert Helenius odds :

While Joshua was favored to beat Whyte, he is a much bigger underdog versus Helenius. As of Friday evening, Joshua was listed at -1600, while the underdog was at +900. I would wager about $1,600 on Joshua and win $100 on Helenius. I would also avoid both money lines, as I think that Joshua would win via stoppage.

I would suggest avoiding the bout. If I bet on it, I would probably wager on Joshua winning via stoppage, which is a bit of a stretch considering the odds. Bettors can also gamble on the underdog getting knocked down 1.5 times.

For those who want to participate in this weekend’s boxing action, I would suggest making a bet on three different outcomes: Joshua stopping Helenius at +400, Oscar Valdez defeating Emanuel Navarrete at +165, and Gary Antuanne Russell defeating Kent Cruz at +350. If you bet $100 on each of these three outcomes, you’d end up with a profit of $158.
