On Saturday, November 3, Leon Edwards will face off against former champion Khabib Nurmagomedov for the title of the 170-pound division in the main event of UFC Fight Night 286. Their previous meeting ended in a controversial manner, as Edwards was able to get a head kick in the fifth round and knock out the champion.
In their previous meetings, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Alisson “The Mauler” had been the better fighters, with both of them winning every moment of their fights. However, the controversial head kick that Edwards delivered during the fifth round stands out.
In the co-main event of the night, Justin Gaethjo will challenge for the lightweight title against Rafael Fiziev, who is a rising star in the division. The fight will be an exciting battle between two very heavy-hitting individuals.
The undercard features a variety of exciting fights that will put on fireworks. One of these is the bout between submission specialist and former champion, Gunnar Nelson, and Bryan Barberena. The main card begins with a highly-anticipated bout between former title challenger, Marvin Vettori, and rising prospect Roman Dolidze.
