Jose Mourinho returns to Old Trafford this weekend as Manchester United take on Tottenham Hotspur.
Mourinho will be looking to get one over his old club in Sunday’s Premier League clash (4.30pm).
They edged past Chelsea on penalties in the cup before thumping Maccabi Haifa 7-2 to book a place in the Europa League group stage.
Last time out in the league a controversial late penalty denied them victory at home to Newcastle United.
United were also involved in late penalty drama as they saw off Brighton & Hove Albion 3-2 last weekend. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men then beat the same opposition 3-0 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.

Despite both teams in the midst of chaotic schedules – Spurs especially – they are using these various cup matches to build some momentum and sharpness among their squad. United are slowly improving but they are still not totally convincing and Spurs will fancy their chances of getting something here. Jose Mourinho and his men are thriving on adversity right now after games on Tuesday and Thursday, and that is motivating his players. He will be desperate to get one over his old club here and they are capable of taking a point here. Neither defence is convincing at all and goals are on the cards so expect both teams to score in what could easily be a score draw.
