English Premier League
Date: Wednesday, 16 March 2022
Kick-off at 20:15 UK/ 21:15 CET
Venue: Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal will face Liverpool in a match that will be crucial in the Premier League title chase and the fight for a place in the top four.

Arsenal will host Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night, pitting two of the Premier League’s most in-form sides against each other.

As we approach the end of the 2021/22 season, this match might have big ramifications in both the league title race and the hunt for Champions League slots.

Arsenal has gained critical momentum after winning their past five Premier League games.

The Gunners beat Leicester City 2-0 last time out to go into fourth place in the table, one point ahead of Manchester United in fifth place, with three games in hand.

A win this week would give the north Londoners a four-point lead, allowing them to tighten their hold on second place.

Liverpool, on the other hand, has been in excellent form in 2022, losing only one game in all competitions – a 1-0 loss to Inter Milan in the Champions League, which was minor in the grand scheme of things.

The Reds have won eight consecutive Premier League games, most recently defeating Brighton, and are only four points behind league leaders Manchester City, who were beaten to a 1-1 draw by Crystal Palace on Monday.

With a game in hand, Jurgen Klopp’s team can close the gap on the incumbent champions to just one point with a win over Arsenal, setting up a thrilling title race.

Liverpool will be confident of beating Arsenal again on Wednesday night after defeating them twice in three meetings this season (D1) – once in the league and once in the Carabao Cup.

Arsenal vs Liverpool Prediction :

Arsenal has had a solid run of form, with five wins in a row, putting them in a strong position to finish in fourth place.

They’ve made a lot of progress under Mikel Arteta, but the game against Liverpool will be one of the toughest so far this season.

The Reds have won eight consecutive Premier League games and have won their past three away matches in the division.

At the same time, they have won both of their previous journeys to the Emirates in all competitions, and crushed them 4-0 earlier this season in the reverse fixture.

While the matchup looks to be much more competitive this time around, Mohamed Salah’s form and Luis Diaz’s impact have tipped the scales in Liverpool’s favor.

The Hard Tackle forecasts a close, hard-fought win for Jurgen Klopp’s side, bringing them to within a point of Manchester City.

Arsenal vs Liverpool Team News :

Smith, Emile Rowe recovered in time for a 15-minute cameo in the win over Leicester, but Takehiro Tomiyasu’s calf injury will keep him out for the foreseeable future.

On Sunday, Arteta’s inspired side did not pick up any new concerns, and the Gunners manager may be tempted to persist with the same starting XI as Cedric Soares continues to fill in for Tomiyasu.

Smith Rowe is in line to take over on the left side from Gabriel Martinelli, although Arteta may want to be cautious about the England international’s fitness as he returns to his’super-sub’ role.

Meanwhile, Liverpool were given a worry when Mohamed Salah departed the Amex field with a foot ailment, but the attacker’s problem is not serious and he might still play in the midweek match.

Despite the absences of Kostas Tsimikas and James Milner, Klopp’s team is in fantastic shape, with Ibrahima Konate returning from an injury. If Salah is not risked right away, Diogo Jota might fill in for him.

Thiago Alcantara was also listed among the substitutes for Brighton’s triumph, most likely in preparation for the Emirates trip, and the Spaniard will likely replace Naby Keita in the starting lineup here.

Arsenal possible starting lineup:

Ramsdale; Cedric, White, Gabriel, Tierney; Xhaka, Partey; Saka, Odegaard, Martinelli; Lacazette

Liverpool possible starting lineup:
