Everton vs Liverpool: Head-to-head (h2h)
- The Reds had recorded the previous eleven overall wins.
- In fact, the last they lost against this opponent was back in 2010.
- Since 2011, at this stadium, every single encounter has resulted in a draw – barring one fixture.
- The latest face-to-face clash saw spoils being shared with a goalless draw.
Everton vs Liverpool: Prediction
For the first time in a long time, the winner of the Merseyside Derby is a tough one to call. Everton come into the game unbeaten and in the form of their life, whilst the champions come off the back of an embarrassing 7-2 demolition from a high-flying Aston Villa. The Villa defeat, however, should not be blown out of proportion, a bad day at the office, yes, but this gives Liverpool an additional incentive and it can be expected to see Klopp’s men come into this game with a vengeance. This isn’t to say Everton won’t put up a fight, and they clearly have the quality to do so, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin scoring goals for fun and the creative genius in James Rodriguez aiding him in the process. He managed to continue adding to his goal tally for England this week, so expect Calvert-Lewin to find his seventh of the season but it would be a surprise to see him being the lone scorer throughout the full 90 minutes. A front three of Salah, Mane and Firmino are rarely kept quiet, and the Merseyside Derby is no stranger to a draw, with five out of the last ten Premier League encounters between these two being a draw.
