Manchester City, who are the reigning Premier League champions, are looking to end their season on a high. The 2022-23 season of the English football league started in August 2022 and ended in May 2023.

In the summer transfer window, the team of Pep Guardiola was able to sign a talented striker named Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund. He became the record holder for the most goals scored in a single season in the Premier League.

After finishing runners-up last season, Liverpool lost one of their most important players, Sadio Mane, to the German club Bayern Munich. The team was able to replace him with Darwin Nunez, a former player from Portuguese club Benfica.

Although he had a solid goal-scoring record in the Portuguese league, Darwin didn’t make an impact for Liverpool during the season. They finished in fifth place.

The 2022-23 season of the English football league featured a lot of focus on Manchester United, who were the 20-time champions. After a disappointing season last year, the team was able to improve its performance under the leadership of Erik ten Hag.

During the summer transfer window, Manchester United was able to sign a number of high-profile players such as Casemiro, Antony, Lisandro Martinez, and Christian Eriksen.

Although they were able to strengthen their team during the summer transfer window, Chelsea failed to place in the top 10.

After starting the season as title challengers, Mikel Arteta’s team started to falter in the second half. They eventually finished in second place.

Three teams from the EFL, namely Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham, were able to secure their places in the Premier League.
