From the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Ryan Garcia will square off against Javier Fortuna, one of boxing’s biggest names. The battle may be totally, continuously, and worldwide televised on DAZN.
Garcia returned in April when he was down and defeated Emmanuel Tagoe by unanimous decision following a 15-month absence due to a broken wrist and mental health difficulties. The battle between Garcia and Fortuna was scheduled for July 2021, however the former withdrew due to his intellectual readiness.
Former two-department international champion Fortuna attended the show and fell to Jo Jo Diaz in a back-and-forth match by unanimous decision. The 32-year-old veteran returned in February by knocking Rafael Hernandez out in the first round.
