As we near the finish of the 2021/22 season, the games are starting to flow thick and fast across Europe. The Premier League’s Gameweek 29 kicks off on Saturday, with the action culminating at Old Trafford, where Manchester United will face Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United’s 2021/22 season has been full with promises, but it has also been full of flattering to deceive. That has been the case since interim manager Ralf Rangnick took onboard. While the Red Devils’ creative output has improved, their profligacy in front of the goal has been their undoing on numerous occasions. As a result, Rangnick has only secured eight victories in 18 games, the most recent of which was a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Manchester City.
Tottenham Hotspur’s fortunes, on the other hand, have improved slightly since Antonio Conte took over at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Spurs have also been inconsistent, to to Conte’s chagrin. The north Londoners, on the other hand, have shown a lot of promise, most notably in their 5-0 triumph over Everton earlier this week.
Manchester United vs Tottenham Head to head :
- These two teams have offered some goals fests in their recent head to head encounters.
- Manchester United have been more successful lately with five wins, one draw, and one defeat in the last seven meetings with Spurs.
- We have seen at least three goals in each of the last three H2H affairs, including United’s 0-3 victory in London back in late-October last year.
Manchester United vs Tottenham Prediction :
The marquee match on Saturday is difficult to predict. Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur have recently been the personification of Premier League inconsistency, making it difficult to predict which versions of the two teams will show up this weekend.
Antonio Conte’s side, on the other hand, appear to be turning a corner, especially after their massive win against Everton earlier this week. So, while the game should be competitive for the majority of the 90 minutes, Harry Kane should be the difference-maker, outshining Cristiano Ronaldo in the process. Tottenham will win 2-1, according to The Hard Tackle.
