Jake Paul and Tyron Woodley’s much awaited rematch has finally here.
Paul will fight Woodley for the second time this year; on Aug. 29, the YouTube star-turned-professional boxer won a split-decision victory over the former UFC welterweight champion, with one judge scoring it 77-75 for Woodley and the other two scoring it 77-75 and 78-74 in Paul’s favor.

What will the outcome of the rematch be? Paul has yet to lose a bout in his brief professional career, startling other fighters who have earned a living off of sports. Whatever happens in the bout, one thing is certain: there will be lots of back-and-forth yelling between Paul and Woodley.

To prepare for a rematch, Paul had Woodley acquire a tattoo that said “I adore Jake Paul.” That will undoubtedly be a factor throughout the week and in the lead-up to Saturday’s encounter. (However, it’s worth noting that Paul was originally scheduled to face Tommy Fury, Tyson Fury’s younger brother, until the latter dropped out.)

Jake Paul vs Tyron Woodley Fight  predictions

Brian Campbell: In many respects, this rematch has a chance to go just as the first did, because both boxers have had time to reflect on where they fell short. Given Woodley’s need to move quickly to get inside and overcome his size disadvantage, there’s reason to believe viewers will see more action this time around as the former UFC champion seeks a finish. The issue that Woodley will eventually face is that Paul is larger, stronger, and younger. He’s also capable of producing the finish he failed to deliver in August after tasting Woodley’s power.

Brent Brookhouse: The first bout with Paul exposed Woodley’s major flaws in his UFC career. Woodley makes the mistake of waiting too long for the perfect punch, allowing his opponents to outwork him. In the fourth round of the first bout, a Woodley right sent Paul sliding backward into the ropes, but Woodley never really got that additional gear, allowing Paul to outstrike him 71-52 in landed punches. Given Paul’s height and reach advantages, stronger jab, and strength advantages in the rematch, Woodley will have to be a significantly more aggressive fighter. The problem is that it doesn’t appear that Woodley has what it takes to go all-in in the manner that he has to if he wants to win. Given the short notice and Paul’s readiness for a huge fight, this is shaping up to be a long night for Woodley.
